Vintage “SHAPE” Table by Marcel Gascoin, France 1950s

This rare vintage SHAPE dining table was designed in 1951 by Marcel Gascoin for the living quarters of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in France. The artful flexibility and understated elegance that made this table popular then are still relevant today. Clean, simple lines, elegant tapered legs, solid frame and precise craftsmanship give it a timeless quality. This piece comes in an untouched original condition showing heavy patina after age and use. Minor instability which is possible to glue. No structural damage.
