Charlotte Perriand High ‘Berger’ Stool, Ash Wood, France, circa 1955

This elegant High ‘Berger’ stool was designed by the acclaimed French designer Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999). Crafted from ashwood, this piece showcases Perriand’s unique aesthetic and eye for detail. The stool is a Classic example of Perriand’s work, created in approximately 1955 and measuring H 45 × Ø 32.5 cm. This model has been featured in several publications, including Charlotte Perriand’s L’Œuvre complète, Vol. 3: 1956-1968, which showcases similar models on pages 14-15, 40-41, 294, and 383. It is also featured in Living with Charlotte Perriand, edited by F. Laffanour and published by Skira/Galerie Downtown in 2019, with similar models shown on pages 70-71, 73, 75, 78, 81, and 349.
